  • Laser Eye Surgery - This aims to improve vision without glasses or contacts. To do this laser eye surgery involves reshaping the cornea to change the focusing of the eye. It can treat short-sightedness, long-sightedness and astigmatism. The two types of laser vision correction are Flap-based treatments (LASIK) and Surface treatments (LASEK/TransPRK).

  • ICL Implants - This is a method of correcting near-sightedness, far-sightedness or astigmatism by implanting a refractive lens in the eye. It is implanted via a key-hole incision in the eye behind the iris.

  • PhotoTherapeutic Keratectomy - This is a type of laser eye surgery used for many problems affecting the superficial layers of the cornea. PTK can remove scars, opacities or treat painful recurrent erosions.

  • Refractive Lens Exchange (RLE) / Cataract Surgery - If you have a cataract, or if your eyes are not suitable for laser correction, you may need a lens replacement. A standard monofocal lens implant will correct your distance vision as clearly as possible. Multifocal lenses help with near vision, although you may still require glasses for some tasks.
